Known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," the Karakoram Highway (KKH) is the highest paved international road in the world, connecting Kashgar in China with Islamabad in Pakistan. The Chinese section offers some of the most dramatic mountain scenery on Earth, passing through the Pamir Mountains and alongside the towering peaks of the Karakoram Range. This engineering marvel climbs to over 4,700 meters at the Khunjerab Pass.
